Paribu’s latest product update expands the platform beyond spot crypto trading. The company is adding DeFi access, yield products, perpetual contracts, option markets, Paribu Pass features and, at a later stage, access to stocks listed in Turkey and the United States. Within this broader strategy, perpetual contracts are offered through Hyperliquid infrastructure, while option markets are offered through Polymarket infrastructure.
A First Step for Prediction Markets in Turkey
Paribu describes the new product set as a first in Turkey for perpetual contracts and option markets inside its own interface. The company says users can access these products from the DeFi tab in the Paribu app, without downloading a separate wallet app, managing a seed phrase or switching to another platform.
The Polymarket integration does not mean that Polymarket is operating as a separate exchange inside Paribu. Paribu acts as the interface layer. Order matching and settlement take place onchain through the relevant protocols, while Paribu displays the product and provides the user experience inside its app.
This structure is important for the Turkish market because prediction markets have usually been associated with global DeFi users, external wallets and separate platforms. Paribu is bringing that model into a local exchange interface that many retail crypto users already know.
How the Option Markets Work
Paribu’s support documents describe these markets through outcome tokens. Users take a position on a measurable event by buying a token linked to a possible result, usually structured around “Yes” and “No” outcomes.
Each outcome token trades between 0 and 1 dollar. The price reflects how close the market believes that result is to happening. For example, if a “Yes” token trades at 0.65 dollars, the market is pricing that outcome near 65 percent.
When the event is resolved, the winning outcome token reaches 1 dollar and the losing outcome token goes to 0 dollars. Users can also close their position before the event is resolved, depending on the market price at that time.
Paribu Will Not Resolve the Outcomes
Paribu does not determine the final result of an option market. The resolution process takes place through Polymarket infrastructure and UMA’s decentralized verification mechanism.
Once an event is resolved, Paribu reflects the confirmed result in its app. If the user holds the winning outcome token, the “Claim reward” step becomes available. The reward is not transferred automatically; the user has to complete the claim process.
Disputes are also not handled directly through Paribu. According to Paribu’s support information, objections to market outcomes are handled on the Polymarket side through UMA’s dispute process.
Access Through the DeFi Section
The option markets are positioned under Markets > DeFi > Option in the Paribu mobile app. They are not presented as a standard spot trading pair or as a separate Polymarket app inside Paribu.
To use DeFi products, users need to complete identity verification and create a self-custody DeFi wallet inside the app. Paribu says the wallet uses passkey technology, allowing access through methods such as Face ID, Touch ID or device passcode.
Option market transactions use the user’s spot USDT balance. The acquired outcome token remains in the user’s self-custody DeFi wallet.
Fees, Limits and Market Selection
Paribu shows a single all-in fee before an option market transaction. The fee breakdown includes a 0.85 percent partner commission, a variable Polymarket provider commission and gas fees. The provider commission changes depending on the market and price, and the current breakdown appears on the transaction screen.
Position limits are also displayed on the transaction screen. Paribu states that slippage is adjusted automatically and cannot be manually changed by the user.
Not every Polymarket market will be available through Paribu. The company says markets are selected according to legal compliance, ethics and market integrity standards in Turkey.
Sports and esports markets are excluded from the catalog, including both single-match markets and tournament-wide outcomes. Markets related to Turkish politics, markets with manipulation risk or insufficient liquidity, and markets considered ethically problematic are also excluded.
Part of a Broader Product Shift
The Polymarket-based option market integration is one part of Paribu’s wider move toward a multi-product investment app. The same update also includes DeFi token access, Hyperliquid-based perpetual contracts, staking and yield products, live market data for equities, and a waitlist for future stock trading.
For Turkey’s crypto market, the most notable part of the announcement is the arrival of event-driven option markets inside a local exchange interface. Paribu is not opening access to every Polymarket category, but it is creating a filtered version of prediction market access for users who previously had to rely on external DeFi tools and separate platforms.
Current Status
Although Paribu has announced its Polymarket-powered option markets, the feature does not currently appear to be active. Paribu’s latest update note states that the Options feature is temporarily unavailable. As a result, the product remains a notable step for local crypto-based access to prediction markets in Turkey, but it does not yet represent a fully active launch from the user access perspective.
